unusual situations result in unusual events and actions.

In the past weeks and months an extremely difficult situation has arisen in the area of ​​raw material supply, the end of which is not yet in sight.

In the provision of the materials there are delays up to and including the inability to deliver due to supply bottlenecks. There are also massive logistical problems, especially with sea and air freight, which lead to further delays in the procurement of raw materials.

We have been informed by our suppliers that,

  • that previously applicable price agreements are canceled,
  • in some cases, daily prices are only used after receipt of the order,
  • delivery times or dates are considered non-binding and can be revoked at any time.

As a result, we are no longer able to guarantee our long-term stable prices and delivery commitments. From now on we can only offer you daily prices or order-related prices and terms of delivery. Delivery times could be extended.

We are in constant contact with our suppliers in order to find good solutions for you, in order for us to continue to deliver in the best possible way. Furthermore, we are working intensively on optimizations to mitigate or compensate for the cost increases of our suppliers.

To support us in this endeavor, it would be helpful if you could send us a forecast for the needs in 2021. We will then communicate the resulting material requirements to our suppliers as quickly as possible.

We thank you for your understanding and hope that this unpleasant situation can be ended as soon as possible so that we can meet our own requirements for flexibility, delivery security and reliability in the usual way.
